Teachers of the faculty of Romano-Germanic languages literally found a common language with colleagues from Regent’s University London. The reason was an online course organized by a well-known British University for MRSU linguists.
Jean Daruvala- certified teacher-mentor (CELTA, DELTA), Methodist:
“It was with great pleasure and inspiration that I worked with this group of passionate and talented professional teachers.”
The webinar was held in English, and an individual course of teaching methods was developed for each participant. As a result, in two weeks we managed not only to exchange teaching experience, but also to practice professional English.
Elena Abramova, candidate of philological Sciences, associate Professor, head of the Department of theory and practice of the English language: “It’s great to be back in the role of a student and get expert help in language and teaching methods from an experienced and supportive teacher.”
Skitin Nina Aleksandrovna, candidate of philological Sciences, associate Professor of the theory and practice of the English language: “It is valuable that in addition to theory, there was also practice: we made lesson plans in accordance with the chosen approach to learning (TBL, PPP, lexical approach, etc.).”
Yulia Sorokina, senior lecturer of the Department of English Philology: “We learned a lot of insights about how to diversify our classes with students. Now we dream of offline visit of Regent’s University London!”.
All participants of the course will receive certificates of advanced training of international standard. Teachers Express their gratitude to the University management for organizing an online internship.
